Client Accounting position

We are seeking a pro-active team member to assist the firm in delivering Accounting and Advisory services to a range of clients.

This role involves communicating with clients to proactively understand their needs. The role is varied and includes producing Management reports; Financial Statements; GST returns & associated compliance work and dealing with client queries.

Our ideal candidate will have a great attitude; the ability to complete jobs on time and within budget; manage workload and establish priorities; and communicate in a clear and timely manner with clients and the rest of the team.

While not essential, a candidate working towards or wanting to pursue a formal accounting qualification would be an advantage.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Workpaper preparation
  • Annual accounting and compliance
  • Workflow management and job budgets
  • GST reconciliation and return preparation
  • Client communications as required

 

Skills & experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • High degree of accuracy, responsibility and attention to detail
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • High level of proficiency in Xero, MS Office and other cloud-based software solutions
  • Pro-active attitude with a willingness to learn and grow with the practice
